On November 12th, 2014, Oculys and St. Mary’s General Hospital received the prestigious ITAC Ingenious Award. Innovation is about developing a truly innovative product or service that didn’t exist before. Announced on February 19th, 2015, St. Mary’s General Hospital was recognized for launching real-time emergency department wait times on its website and was the first in Ontario to adopt the technology developed by Oculys Health Informatics. The technology uses more than 800hrs of research and historic and live data from internal reporting systems and converts it into a patient-friendly webpage that is more than 90% accurate in predicting when patients are seen in the emergency department.
